Sean J. Flynn
Sean J. Flynn is professor of history at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. He has published articles on American Indian history and American and South Dakota military history, including Chief, Marine Corps Warrior, a biography of his father, Lt. Col. John P. “Pat” Flynn Jr., a decorated Korean War POW and one of a handful of American Indian aviators to fly combat missions in World War II and Korea. Flynn’s new book on Ben Reifel, Without Reservation, examines the career of South Dakota’s only American Indian congressman.
