Joseph M. Marshall III
Joseph M. Marshall III is a teacher, historian, writer, storyteller and Lakota craftsman. Raised by his maternal grandparents in a traditional Lakota household on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation, he is an enrolled member of the Sicangu Lakota tribe. Writing for both youth and adults, Marshall has published non-fiction works, novels, short stories, and screenplays. He has also appeared in television documentaries and the network movie Return to Lonesome Dove, served as technical advisor for several productions and narrated the six-part mini-series Into the West.
