John E. Miller

John E. Miller is a writer and a historian of recent American history. He taught for almost three decades at South Dakota State University and has written seven books, including Looking for History on Highway 14 and three volumes on Laura Ingalls Wilder, as well as many articles and chapters on the history of politics, small towns, Midwestern culture and more. His most recent book is Democracy and the Informed Citizen: A South Dakota Perspective.
