Omaha, Nebraska native Marcella Remund teaches at the University of South Dakota. Her poems have appeared in journals including Pacific Review, Switchgrass Review, The Briar Cliff Review, Amethyst Arsenic, Pasque Petals and more, and have received prizes from the National Association of State Poetry Societies, among others. Her first collection is The Sea Is My Ugly Twin. Remund and her husband live in Vermillion in a multi-generational, multi-species home.
