Omaha, Nebraska native Marcella Remund is a South Dakota transplant who teaches English at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. Remund is the author of a chapbook of poems, The Sea is My Ugly Twin, and a full-length collection, The Book of Crooked Prayer. She and her husband live in a multi-generational, multi-species household in Vermillion.
