Robin Carmody was born and raised in Dorchester, MA, but left her heart in the Black Hills on a 1994 trip west to attend a history conference. It took a while, but she now happily resides in Deadwood, the setting for her first book, But Nana, Who Was Wild Bill? Carmody holds both a Class A CDL and a master’s in early childhood education. She regularly travels back east to visit family, including two children, two grandchildren, two grandpuppies and many friends.
