Alexander Heffner

Alexander B. Heffner, host of The Open Mind on PBS, has covered American politics, civic life and Millennials since 2008. His writing has appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, USA Today and Newsday, and he has been interviewed by PBS, C-SPAN, CNN and the BBC, among other national and local broadcast venues. Heffner’s book, A Documentary History of the United States, is an annotated collection of the documents, speeches and letters that have forged America.
