Melissa Lenhardt is the author of the Jack McBride mystery series and the Sawbones historical fiction series. Her mystery debut, Stillwater, was a finalist for the 2014 Whidbey Writers’ MFA Alumni Emerging Writers Contest, and her historical fiction debut, Sawbones, was hailed by Lone Star Literary Life as a “thoroughly original, smart and satisfying hybrid, perhaps a new sub-genre: the feminist Western.” Her sixth novel, Heresy, tells the story of the first and only all-female band of outlaws in the American West.
