Rolf Yngve

Rolf Yngve has written short fiction focused on his Midwest upbringing since the 1970s, but only upon retiring as a U.S. Navy Captain after 35 years of service did he begin publishing work inspired by his military experiences. His debut collection, Dog Watches, includes prize-winning works included in journals like The Indiana Review and Kenyon Review. Yngve, who holds an MFA in fiction from Warren Wilson College’s MFA Program for Writers, lives on and in the waters of Coronado, CA, with his wife, also a retired U.S. Navy Captain.
