Mike Casler
Michael M. Casler is an independent historical researcher from Williston, North Dakota. A former park ranger with the National Park Service and retired EMT-firefighter, he is also a U.S. Navy veteran. Casler studied anthropology and U.S. History at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He has published multiple articles on the Upper Missouri fur trade, and his books include Steamboats of the Fort Union Fur Trade, Forts Tecumseh and Fort Pierre Chouteau: Journal and Letter Books, 1830–1850, and Fort Union and Fort William: Letter Book and Journal, 1833-1835.
