In her debut book, Sioux Code Talkers of World War II, Andrea Page shares the military service of seven Native American Code Talkers in the Pacific Theater, as well as details about the buffalo, Lakota values, First Cavalry Division, and pursuit of a Congressional Gold Medal. Of German and Hunkpapa Lakota (Standing Rock) descent, Page is a wife, mother, grandmother, and retired sixth grade teacher. She lives with her husband in Rochester, New York, where she is co-president of the Rochester Area Children’s Writers and Illustrators group.
