A poet, writer and filmmaker, Heid E. Erdrich has been honored by the Loft Literary Center, Bush Foundation, Minnesota State Arts Board, First Peoples Fund and other organizations. She has written five books of poetry, most recently Curator of Ephemera at the New Museum for Archaic Media, as well as Original Local: Indigenous Foods, Stories, and Recipes from the Upper Midwest. She lives in Minnesota with her husband, kids, and a feisty Jack Russell terrier.
