Robin Wall Kimmerer
Robin Wall Kimmerer is a mother, scientist and enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. Her books include Braiding Sweetgrass and Gathering Moss, which won the John Burroughs Medal for outstanding nature writing. In 2015 she addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations on “Healing Our Relationship with Nature.” Kimmerer lives in Syracuse, New York, where she is SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Environmental Biology and founder-director of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment.
