As the Archivist and Collections Manager for the City of Deadwood and the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Michael Runge has worked on numerous archival and archaeological projects that embody the City’s constant vigilance in preserving and protecting its rich cultural heritage. His book, Deadwood’s Mount Moriah Cemetery, is the first attempt to provide a pictorial narrative of the development of this famous cemetery, using historic and contemporary resources from local and regional archives.
