Using archival photographs, little-known facts, and actual tools used by the workers, Mount Rushmore author Jean Patrick tells the story of the planning and carving of the memorial. Her presentation also covers the research and writing process, as well as information about book illustration and design. Appropriate for all ages and groups sizes, including 4th grade South Dakota history units.
