Kathleen Norris began her 2014 One Book Tour in Rapid City on Sunday, June 15 and will speak at the Lemmon Senior Center at 3:30 p.m. today. Norris is the 2014 South Dakota Humanities Council One Book South Dakota author. Her book “Dakota” is the 2014 One Book selection. The South Dakota Humanities Council is very excited about Norris’ tour. The tour continues on this week with appearances in Timber Lake (June 17), Aberdeen (June 18), Sioux Falls (June 19), Watertown (June 20), and Pierre (June 21). Click here for dates and times.

Also, be sure to read the fantastic interview with Kathleen Norris published in the Sunday, June 15 edition of the Rapid City Journal. Norris, who currently resides in Hawaii, lived in her grandparents’ home in Lemmon, South Dakota, with her late husband, poet David Dwyer, for more 25 years. Her stay in Lemmon was the inspiration for the bestselling “Dakota.”
