Diggs interviews William J. Swart, Professor of Sociology and Director of the CIVITAS Honors Program at Augustana University, about violence. Swart, who has studied nationalist movements in Ireland/Northern Ireland, will speak from a social systemic perspective that explores social conflict and reconciliation. What can be learned from past conflicts about neutralizing violence? What are the consequences if it cannot be neutralized?
