Dedicated volunteers across the state donate their time to the South Dakota Humanities Council. Volunteers come in all varieties and help coordinate events such as the annual Festival of Books, and they also get the word out about our great programs.

Festival of Books committee volunteers needed!

The volunteers who serve on the Festival of Books planning committee play an integral part in making our state's signature literary event a success. Planning committee volunteers help with marketing the event, coordinating volunteer efforts, working with the authors, and decorating the venues, among other duties.

The inaugural meeting will be held in early February in Sioux Falls. Attend the meeting to see if you're interested in any of the available volunteer roles on the planning committee.
