Bill Markley
Bill Markley, a staff writer for Western Writers of America’s Roundup Magazine, releases his 11th book, The Life and Times of Jim Bridger, this fall. The four books in his Legendary West series – most recently, Wild Bill Hickok and Buffalo Bill Cody: Plainsmen – all received Will Rogers Medallion awards. Markley’s Deadwood Dead Men was a Western Fictioneers finalist for Best First Western Novel, while Old West Showdown, written with Kellen Cutsforth, was a Will Rogers Medallion finalist.
