E. Janet Johnson
E. Janet Johnson, a former South Dakota State University professor, has returned in retirement to her love of writing poetry. Her collections – The Rebel Coat (2023), Root Cause (2024), and Poems of the Parsonage (2025) – reflect the themes of discovery and resilience. Some of Johnson’s other poems appear in the Scurfpea Publishing poetry anthologies The Lightning Moment, Green Elephant, and Dream, as well asthe South Dakota State Poetry Society’s magazine, Pasque Petals.
