George Bilgere

George Bilgere has published nine poetry collections, most recently Cheap Motels of My Youth, winner of the 2024 Rattle Chapbook Prize. NPR listeners may recognize him from appearances on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion and The Writer’s Almanac. Bilgere has read at the Library of Congress, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and the 92nd Street Y in New York. He teaches at John Carroll University in Cleveland, where he lives with his wife and two very fine young sons.
