Kent Nerburn is the author of Lone Dog Road and 15 other books on spirituality and Native American themes. He has twice won the Minnesota Book Award. Chief Joseph and the Flight of the Nez Perce was a New York Times bestseller, and Neither Wolf Nor Dog, the 2019 One Book South Dakota, is used in multi-cultural curricula around the world. Nerburn is widely recognized as one of the earliest advocates for the Own Voices movement
