Philip Hall

Philip S. Hall earned a PhD from the University of Montana and spent 40 years working with children with debilitating learning and behavior problems. As an academic, he trained school psychologists, wrote books for teachers and parents, and presented at conferences across the continent. As a hobby, Hall has written four books about southwestern South Dakota history, including 2020’s From Wounded Knee to the Gallows and 2025’s The History of the White River Badlands.
