This program places the WW I era correspondence of the Warns family from Wentworth, SD into the context of world events surrounding WW I. It explores the way WW I impacted even the most isolated areas, as the Wilson administration sought to convince the American people that Germany was the enemy. This family correspondence generates a lively and realistic portrayal of life on the home front of rural South Dakota, as well as the war front in Europe.
