Tommy Orange is a 2014 MacDowell Fellow, a 2016 Writing by Writers Fellow, and an MFA graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts. He has published two bestselling novels: There There, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and Wandering Stars, which conjures the ancestors of the same characters. Born and raised in Oakland, Orange is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. He lives in Angels Camp, CA, with his wife and son.
