Dick Termes
Dick Termes is a Spearfish, South Dakota artist who uses a self-devised geometric system known as six-point perspective to paint complete scenes on large spheres. These Termespheres hang in galleries and museums around the world and were displayed at the University of Rome alongside the work of one of Termes’ major inspirations, M.C. Escher. Termes’ many honors include the 1999 Governor’s Award for Distinction in Creative Achievement and his 2014 induction into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.
