Peter Heller
Peter Heller is the national best-selling author of 11 books – four nonfiction and seven fiction, including 2023’s The Last Ranger and 2024’s Burn. His novel The Painter won the prestigious Reading the West Book Award. An award-winning adventure writer and a longtime contributor to NPR, Heller is a contributing editor at Outside magazine, Men’s Journal and National Geographic Adventure. He holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in poetry and fiction.
