Landscape and Identity in Poetry
Wilson traces the ways in which development of her poetry has followed the trajectory of her life from Tennessee to Oklahoma to South Dakota where she has now lived for 43 years, more than half her life. Landscapes and the people in those landscapes have shaped Wilson’s voice and her poems. Her presentation will encourage the audience members to examine their own lives and the ways in which their landscapes have influenced them.
