The South Dakota Humanities Council offers a packaged reading program for book clubs organized by individuals, libraries, bookstores, museums, and other organizations. Any organization is eligible to apply for a Book Club to Go program.
SDHC is proud to announce the addition of five new books to our Lending Library. These books share a primary focus: the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP).
If your book club would like to request these books from our Lending Library, we’d be happy to share them with you!
The purchase of these books was made possible by funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the United We Stand: Connecting Through Culture initiative.
A Statewide Book Club
The Book Club to Go program provides up to 30 copies of any title from the SDHC Lending Library, as well as the option to have an SDHC scholar lead a book discussion. You may also choose to provide your own discussion leader. Groups can choose from dozens of titles, including some of the best book-club books you’ll find!
